A few minutes later he came back with a smile on his face, “What was that about?” He took out his phone and told me to hold on. “Wait where are you going?” I called after him. I felt like I was going to cry this was so frustrating. Why can’t I do this?” I asked throwing my head down frustrated. When we did this before I was starting to get it but now it was like it all slipped away and now I was making all these stupid mistakes. We were at it for a few hours and I didn’t feel like I was retaining any of it. “You will don’t worry about it, you got this, you probably just got nervous,” he said shrugging. “Until the retest, provided I can pass it,” I said shrugging. “How long are you grounded for?” he asked opening his book. I gave him a smile, “Let’s get this started since I can’t do anything else.” I heard the door open and Luke walked in his books in hand. I took a quick shower and then took my books downstairs so we could study at the dining table. He told me he would be over in a few after he ate. I sent Luke a text and asked him if he could please, please, please come over because I needed his help. When I finished and cleaned the kitchen I told my mom bye and went up to my room. I nodded my head and started eating my breakfast. “Only Luke if I find out that anyone else was here then you’re grounded even longer,” she said pointing at me. I nodded my head, “Can Luke come over to help me please I don’t get it on my own?” I asked hopeful because there was no way doing this by myself was going to help. Her cheery demeanor changed and she suddenly sounded like the strict mother she always was, “Your dad and I are going out today, you need to study,” she said handing me a plate. When I got into the kitchen my mom was making breakfast, “Good morning,” she said cheerily. I decided to ignore the others and go get something to eat. I checked Luke’s to find it was a simple good morning. When I woke up in the morning I had a major headache, I checked my phone and I had three messages from Tanner, two from Valerie, and one from Luke.
